Director Wanted - St. James Players 2024 Production

Join the Saint James Players (SJP) in Montclair, NJ, as we embark on our twelfth year of bringing free, inclusive, and accessible theater to our vibrant community. We are currently on the lookout for a talented director to helm our upcoming classical play, set to grace the historic sanctuary of Saint James Church on two exciting weekends: Sept. 13-15 and Sept. 20-21, 2024.

If you have a passion for theater and want to be part of something special, this is your chance! The chosen director will also play a key role in selecting the play for our 2024 production.

In recent years, our productions of Romeo and Juliet (2022) and Antigone (2023) garnered enthusiastic audiences, drawing in hundreds of spectators. Our diverse cast and crew, ranging from eight to eighty years old and encompassing various levels of experience, created unforgettable theatrical experiences.

Operating under the guidance of our dedicated organizing committee, the director will collaborate on play selection and receive valuable input during the casting process. This non-compensated role demands a commitment of at least two nights per week from June to August for rehearsals.
